Our commitment
MakeAReel helps people turn their photos and videos into short-form reels. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to MakeAReel.com and the MakeAReel creator, account, and media-library services.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide MakeAReel, such as your account details, the photos, videos, audio, text, brand assets, and project information you choose to upload or create, and basic service and device information used to keep the service operating securely.
Payments are processed by Stripe. MakeAReel does not receive or store your full payment-card or wallet credentials.
Google Photos Picker
If you choose Import from Google Photos, Google opens its official Photos Picker. MakeAReel requests access only to the specific photos or videos you select in that picker. We do not browse, read, or import the rest of your Google Photos library.
The selected files are copied into your MakeAReel Media Library so that you can use them in projects and reels. They are handled in the same way as media you upload directly: you can remove them from your Media Library, and they may be retained only as needed to provide your account and related projects. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with advertisers.
How we use information
We use your information to create and save projects, provide requested media-processing and generation features, manage subscriptions, provide support, protect the service, and improve reliability. We do not use your private media to train public models or to market unrelated products.
When information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us operate MakeAReel, such as hosting, storage, payment, and media-processing providers, and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, MakeAReel, or the public.
Your choices and deletion
You can delete media from your Media Library and remove projects within the product. You may also contact us to request account or data deletion, subject to limited retention needed for legal, security, billing, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Security and updates
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information in our care. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as MakeAReel changes; the current version will always be available on this page with its effective date.
